Balance Therapy
Dr. Plaugher DC incorporates one leg standing balance exercises (OLSBE) as a primary rehabilitative strategy.
-
OLSBE can be used to reduce signs of frailty in older adults through fall prevention.
-
It is also used to the strengthen the core of the spinal column and for reducing habituated positions such as standing on one leg with more weight than the other side.
-
OLSBE is used to reduce postural deformities such as forward head posture and scoliosis.
-
Another aspect of OLSBE is it appears to affect pain avoidance and fear avoidance behaviors.
